Merie W. Wallace is an advocate for women in this profession and is a significant force in the Society of Motion Picture Still Photographers. She is devoted to the art in the craft of stills photography.

Merie Weismiller Wallace is a Unit Still Photographer based in Los Angeles. She received her Masters degree from USC Film School, and has since worked around the world with noted filmmakers including Clint Eastwood, James Cameron, Alexander Payne, Kathryn Bigelow, Sam Raimi, and Terrence Malick. She has served as SMPSP President for three years, Co-President for two, and Co-Chair of the SMPSP Exhibition and Archive Committees for four.  She has been nominated for the ICG and SOC Unit Photography Awards multiple times.  Merie is passionate about the adventurous and collaborative aspects of filmmaking, the importance of archiving, and the creative potential of Unit Photography.  She works with an eye for the magic in a moment.
